Idaho Legies
create Perfect Storm: yellowcake plus Yellowstone plus Snake Plain Aquifer
equals radioactive Super Volcanic blast
(Feb 22,
2008)
Boise, ID –
An Open Letter to 105 Idaho State Legislators and Governor Butch Otter:
Dear
Politicians:
It has
come to my attention that Idaho legislators have introduced a Bill to grant
corporate tax breaks to French company Areva so they can build a $2 billion
Uranium-235 enrichment plant on top of the Idaho Snake Plain Aquifer, with
said aquifer – the size of Lake Erie -- sitting adjacent to the largest
underground volcanic system in the world: Yellowstone National Park.
Imagine
what would happen under the following two scenarios: (1) a
naturally-occurring earthquake, or (2) a terrorist-instigated earthquake
using ELF (Extremely Low Frequency) or EM (Electro-Magnetic) Pulsing
devices, both of which are in the hands of the U.S. (the HAARP Project in
Alaska), Russia, the Japanese Mafia (Yakuza/Aum Shinrikyo), and 7 other
nations/organizations, some of whose members hold moral philosophies more
interested in lollygagging with 72 virgins than whether the Earth survives.
Is Idaho
really so hard up for tax revenues that you would create the possibility of
either one of the above two scenarios, both of which could result in a
radioactive super volcanic firestorm that would, first, blow up Idaho, then
sweep east and southwest to wipe out the North American continent from
Southern California across to the Gulf states, and finally, within one week,
blow enough radioactive ash into the biosphere to circulate around the
entire globe and thus affect every life form on the planet?
You think
this is far-fetched and not probable? Think again. And think long and hard
about Scenario # 2, human terrorists, which may be far more probable than
Scenario # 1. The big question is: do you feel lucky, should we take the
chance?
Scenario #
1: Naturally-Occurring Earthquake
Idaho’s
Snake Plain Aquifer is one of the largest aquifers in the world, the size of
Lake Erie, containing millions of acre-feet of water, and stretches from
Ashton, Idaho -- above Idaho Falls near the tri-state borders of Montana,
Wyoming, and Idaho – all the way to King Hill just outside Boise. This
underground aquifer sits adjacent to Yellowstone Park. And underneath
Yellowstone Park is one of the largest volcanic systems in the world. Young
and active. The ground at Yellowstone is currently bulging upward at an
unprecedented 3 inches per year with 3,000 minor earthquakes recorded per
year.
What’s the
connection? Water flows underground in the Snake Plain Aquifer through
porous basalt and magma-created lava tubes with diameters ranging from 1
foot to 50 feet, stacked one on top of another like lava pancakes. An
earthquake could easily re-connect and direct the flow of millions of
gallons of underground water from the Snake Plain Aquifer to the magma
chambers under the Yellowstone caldera.
If
Yellowstone’s volcanic system erupted – as it did 640,000 years ago, and has
done regularly over the last couple of million years – Yellowstone would
blow up with the force of a Super Volcano, 5-10,000 times the power and
destruction of Mount St. Helens in Washington state in 1980.
A Super
volcanic eruption is horrific enough but here’s the upshot for Idaho’s
Sleeping Dragon: if Idaho built a U-235 enrichment plant on top of the
Snake Plain Aquifer, which sits adjacent to Yellowstone’s volcanic system,
and an earthquake occurred, the Super Volcanic eruption would turn into a
radioactive Super Volcanic firestorm.
While humans have recovered from past Super Volcanic eruptions years after
the smoke cleared, it is highly probable that no flora or fauna, no humans,
would survive the U-235 radiation unleashed all over the world if Idaho’s
Sleeping Dragon exploded.
Areva’s
U-235 enrichment plant is not a nuclear reactor. It is a manufacturing
plant separating highly radioactive, nuclear bomb grade U-235 pellets from
non-radioactive U-238 through thousands of centrifuges, ultimately to be
shipped as nuclear rods to over 104 U.S. nuclear power plants and many other
plants across the world. Keeping U-235 pellets far enough apart so that
they do not reach critical mass, the point at which U-235 turns into a
nuclear bomb, is one of the major problems at all nuclear enrichment and
power plants. If nothing goes wrong, it’s fairly safe. But one doesn’t
just plan for “safe.” One plans for “something going wrong.”
The last thing Idaho needs is to build a U-235 enrichment plant on top of
an aquifer the size of Lake Erie sitting next to one of the largest volcanic
systems in the world.
In addition, not only would a super volcanic eruption take out Areva’s
U-235 manufacturing plant at Idaho Falls, it would also take out Idaho’s
existing nuclear facility, the INL (Idaho National Laboratory), which
already sits on top of the Snake Plain Aquifer not far from Idaho Falls’
planned Areva location next door to Yellowstone’s volcanic system.
For the
same reasons above, the INL should immediately be dismantled and the nuclear
waste cleaned up asap. Instead, our state politicians, eager to tax new
corporations and provide jobs for Idaho, are actually expanding the INL with
hundreds of millions of dollars in deficit financed earmarks from the U.S.
Congress.
In short,
the location is wrong, wrong, wrong and fissionable nuclear energy is not
the way to obtain new energy for planet Earth. If you thought Scenario # 1
was highly improbable, and you’re still feeling lucky about Mother Nature,
read Scenario # 2.
Scenario #
2: Terrorist-Instigated Earthquake
In
Scenario # 2, the conditions remain the same as in Scenario # 1, except
Mother Nature’s earthquake is upstaged by another nation or terrorist
organization that has access to EM Pulsing devices that can be aimed,
focused, and implemented from long distances, creating a man-made
earthquake.
On April 28, 1997 U.S.
Defense Secretary William Cohen made the following statement:
"Others [terrorists] are engaging even in an eco-type of terrorism
whereby they can alter the climate, set off earthquakes, volcanoes remotely
through the use of electromagnetic waves… So there are plenty of ingenious
minds out there that are at work finding ways in which they can wreak terror
upon other nations…It's real, and that's the reason why we have to intensify
our [counterterrorism] efforts."
EM and ELF
waves can travel through steel, concrete, and the entire earth, coming out
on the other side, so the Bad Guys don’t have to check into the local motel
at Idaho Falls to pull off their dirty deeds. EM pulses can be focused much
like a laser, concentrating enough energy to induce an earthquake at
Yellowstone. Just point, aim, and shoot.
The only
thing holding back various nations and terrorist organizations from
utilizing these new devices is retribution from the U.S. and other nations
who possess the same capability. But what about those rogue terrorists –
Osama bin Laden comes to mind – who are more eager to fool around with 72
virgins than whether the Earth becomes uninhabitable through U-235
contamination? What if they decide to lease an EM Pulsar Yellowstone
Volcanic Blowup Model 9450 from Russia and focus a few million Joules of
energy to break apart the magma chambers in Yellowstone National Park --
just enough to crack the underground lava tubes so water from the Snake
Plain Aquifer can suddenly flood into Yellowstone’s volcanic system?
There
exist many corollary scenarios to Scenario # 2 that don’t require using the
Aquifer. Just shift Yellowstone’s magma chambers with new EM weapons
technology and let nature’s super volcano action take its course.
In
summary, not only would Areva’s $2 billion U-235 enrichment plant blow sky
high, so would the current INL sitting on top of the Snake Plain Aquifer.
Both scenarios of a radioactive super volcanic firestorm, whether instigated
by Mother Nature or human terrorists, would produce the same catastrophic
results: an uninhabitable planet Earth.
Only two
questions remain for Idaho’s politicians and the first one doesn’t count:
(1) just how badly does Idaho need the tax revenues from a U-235 enrichment
plant sitting on top of the Snake Plain Aquifer right next door to the
largest volcanic system in the world, and (2) “well, politicians, are you
feeling lucky today?”
Cordially, FM
Duck
P.S. The
above nuclear holocaust scenarios are not only unnecessary for Idaho to
implement but also highly ironic, especially since Idaho is home to one of
the world’s leading new energy inventors, John Bedini living in Coeur
d’Alene, Idaho, whose fledgling radiant energy company, Energenx, Inc., is
off and running to produce new green energy machines that can “freely pull”
Tesla’s radiant blue energy from what physicists call “the vacuum” or “the
photon flux,” the space all around us extending throughout the entire
universe. As Tesla once said, in regard to “free” energy from the vacuum (EFTV),
we are like fish swimming in the ocean, stupidly asking, “Where’s the
water?”
